One bump of a paw and the window’s down. GEN 3 is the strongest SwitchMate we’ve built for the Cascadia — a hinged lid held shut by hidden magnets. Flip it open, flip it shut.

  • Magnetic lid — concealed magnets keep the lid closed until you flip it open; one-handed access to window and lock switches
  • Stops accidental window roll-downs and keeps your cab locked when you step away — your dog can’t unlock the truck while it’s running.
  • Driver side, passenger side, or both — covers the left and right door switch modules
  • Built heavier — 25% thicker lid, reinforced hinges, about 20% more material than GEN 2
  • Slip-fit — no drilling, no permanent mods, comes off clean
  • Carbon-fiber reinforced PETG — won’t warp or melt in a summer cab
  • Made in the USA — designed by a working truck driver
  • Lifetime warranty when you buy direct from SwitchMate

The item is good, the only issue I have is that I had to unplug the entire panel from my door to put it in the cover. And also the bottom on the cover is a little think so it doesn’t exactly snap back and I kinda have to push it back in place everytime I need to open the window. BUT. For the most part IT DOES ITS JOB. No escaping kitties around here!!!!

Thank you so much for the review and the photos, Brianna! We're really glad the cover is doing its job and keeping your fur babies safely inside. About the install, you shouldn't need to unplug the module at all. The switch module lifts straight up out of the door panel so you can slide the switch module through the bottom side of the switch cover bezel and then seat it into the bezel. It does not require disconnecting the wires. We're sorry that wasn't clearer. We will try to make that clearer in the future. There are also a couple of pictures on the product page that show the installation method. The small lip underneath the switch module, between the module and the door panel, holds the switch cover in place. Unfortunately some switch modules are not as tight fitting as others, and that is not something I can design around, but the simple fix would be to apply a small amount of double-sided tape along both long edges of each switch cover bezel, so you stick the bezel to the door panel. So when you go to open your switch module, it doesn't pull the switch module out of the door. That's noted on the website under installation guidelines. About the bottom of the cover not snapping back, what you're describing is the switch module not snapping fully back into place in the door panel, and that is unavoidable. There's a fine line in how high the switch module can sit out of the door panel. That lip is only one millimeter thick, which is the thinnest I can comfortably make it without it breaking.

This issue was not noticeable on the Gen 2 model because pretty much no force was required in order to open up the door. Now that magnets are integrated into the switch cover, it just shows how little resistance there is, because the switch modules are friction locked into the door panel. So the loose fitting switch modules are not going to be retained in their hole as good as they once were.

Easy to install much better than the pervious version. This is my 2nd pair.

Does a very good job, but I probably should have ordered the ones without the magnets. They are very strong magnets and when opening the cover it is likely to try pull loose from the door panel.
